A series of artistically-infused dinners, inspired by the book Les Diners de Gala —Salvador Dali, an event by ARTERNATIVE in collaboration with INKED, Christian Louboutin, and The ODD Piece.
In Plaisirs Supremes, we delve into the bizarre and often erotic world of painter Salvador Dali, who over the course of his life painted more than 1500 works of art – many of them prominently featuring food. But how many people are also aware that Dali declared at the age of only 6 years that he wanted to be a chef? …and many years later, in 1973, published his very own cookbook, Les Diners de Gala, flamboyantly illustrated by Dali himself.
Re-launched in 2016 for the first time since it was originally published, by TASCHEN, Les Diners de Gala is the inspiration behind this event, held during art week.
This was a a five night pop up event where we got a chance to recreate recipes from the book and also some devised by our very own Dali-enthused creations. We brought the artist’s creations to life in an unprecedented and multi-sensory experience.
In collaboration with INKED, Christian Louboutin, and The ODD Piece, this event took guests on a dreamlike journey into Salvador Dali’s universe, where from both your eyes to your palette, guests were immersed in a crazily concocted experience.
Arternative was was able to bring all these distinct parties together that shared a unique target audience, organized the event and invited key guests to ensure it to be a success!
